Go Hogs! Arkansas Razorbacks Kick Off New Seasons

Once the leaves start changing and school is back in session at the University of Arkansas, one thing is for certain: It’s time for Razorback sports! Get ready for Hog calling and tailgating as the Razorback football and basketball teams kick off their 2016-17 seasons.

The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville is home to some of the best collegiate sports venues in the nation. While you are in town, stop by the Dickson Street Entertainment District for beverages, dining and live music.

Razorback Football

There is nothing quite like the crisp, fall air and the roar of the fans at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium on the U of A campus! The Razorback football team begins its 2016 season with a home-game match-up against Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Sept. 3, in Fayetteville. (Other home games include Sept. 17 vs. Texas State; Oct. 1 vs. Alcorn State; Oct. 8 vs. Alabama; Oct. 15 vs. Ole Miss; Nov. 5 vs. Florida; and Nov. 12 vs. LSU.)

What can Razorback Nation expect this year? Head Coach Bret Bielema returns for his fourth season at Arkansas, while Razorback Austin Allen is poised to take the starting quarterback position in place of his older brother, Brandon Allen, a Jacksonville Jaguar who was the Hogs’ star quarterback from 2013 to 2015. Razorback Basketball

Join the Razorback men’s basketball team this fall for a new season of Head Coach Mike Anderson’s “Fastest 40 Minutes of Basketball.” Fans come alive when the basketball Hogs hit the court at the state-of-the-art Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville. This season welcomes new Assistant Basketball Coach Scotty Thurman, the former Arkansas shooting guard who hit the win-clinching three pointer to win the Hogs’ 1994 NCAA Basketball Championship!
