A Very SoNA Christmas, Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville, Dec. 3 — The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas kicks off the 2016-17 Season with its annual holiday concert, A Very SoNA Christmas. The region’s finest professional musicians perform a collection of favorite sacred and secular music celebrating the magic and beauty of Christmas. Featuring the SoNA Singers, UA Schola Cantorum and special guest soloists.

Tim Warfield’s All-Star Jazzy Christmas, Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville, Dec. 10 — Acclaimed saxophonist Tim Warfield, known for his distinctive and soulful tone, has assembled an all-star cast to perform arrangements of holiday gems like you’ve never heard them before. An All-Star Jazzy Christmas puts a soulful, contemporary spin on classic holiday tunes like “Let It Snow,” “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night” and more.
Christmas with the APO, Arend Arts Center, Bentonville, Dec. 17 — Join the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra for one of the finest Christmas performances in the region. Christmas with the APO features all your yuletide favorites along with the Singing Men of Arkansas, the University of Arkansas Children’s Choir and the Arkansas Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
The Hip Hop Nutcracker, Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville, Dec. 22 — This isn’t your typical holiday production! Switch up a classic Christmas fable by setting it in 1980’s Brooklyn, NY, add hip-hop music and breakdancing, and you have The Hip Hop Nutcracker! This exciting rendition of The Nutcracker is told by an onstage hip-hop DJ accompanied by electric violinist, all while integrating the classic compositions of Tchaikovsky.
TheatreSquared Presents Great Expectations, Nadine Baum Studios, Fayetteville, Nov. 30 thru Jan. 1 — After a terrifying Christmas Eve graveyard encounter, young orphan Pip’s life will never be the same. Follow Pip on his dynamic journey in a quest for love while facing the certainty of his perplexing past. This return of Great Expectations is amazingly performed with only six cast members who depict more than 40 different characters. Don’t miss this fascinating adaptation of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale!

Walton Arts Center’s 25th Anniversary & Grand Reopening Celebration, Fayetteville, Nov. 19 — Northwest Arkansas’ performing arts powerhouse will debut its new expansion and renovation at this 25th Anniversary Grand Reopening Celebration. Enjoy free family friendly activities during the day and a behind-the-scenes look at the magic that happens in the theater.
