ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS BASEBALL | Baum Stadium, Fayetteville
After starting off strong with a staggering sweep over Bucknell University on opening weekend, the University of Arkansas baseball team is back on the diamond at Baum Stadium for its 22nd season. The 2018-19 Season runs through May 19, and the Razorbacks have high hopes of making it to the College World Series this June.
The Diamond Hogs swept Bucknell with 47 runs over three games, followed by another win over San Diego State, which was Dave Van Horn’s 600th victory as the head coach of the Razorbacks. Van Horn is one of the only three coaches in the entire Southeastern Conference to have reached this many victories at their current program.
In 2017, there were a total of 13 Razorback alumni on MLB rosters. Van Horn hopes the team will produce more major league players, but not before concluding this season’s impressive schedule, which includes home games through May 15.
Whether you’re seated near the base line or kicked back with refreshments in the Hog Pen, you’ll have a great view thanks to Baum’s state-of-the-art video board that shows high definition replays, instant statistics, game updates and more.
Beat the crowd to the stadium, and you could walk away with some cool Razorback swag while the goodies last. For a schedule of promo giveaways, check out the video below.
